How the designer works
The Designer uses explicit inputs, intermediate work signals and deterministic rules. It does not send answers to an AI model or predict job losses.
Signals
Repetition, information intensity, physical activity, interaction, exceptions, decision complexity, data maturity, API maturity, process standardisation and safety consequence become explicit signals.
Patterns
Results can include Human-led, Human with automation, Human + Agent, Agent with human oversight, Human + Robot, Agent + Robot and Human + Agent + Robot. These are possible patterns, not maturity levels or rankings.
Limitations
Results depend on the answers supplied. Directory coverage is incomplete, technology changes quickly and organisational context matters. The output is not a business case, ROI guarantee, compliance opinion or redundancy calculator.
